Bienvenidos

If you have chosen Spanish to study as your second language, this is your opportunity to learn it and then travel around the Spanish speaking world.

I wish you the best during this year. Always do your best in everything you do. Use your Spanish every time you have the opportunity. If you really want to learn Spanish, practice is the best way to do it. You might be impressed with how fast you might be speaking it. The Spanish Language is the second most spoken language in the USA.

If your primary goal is to get a better grade in your Spanish class, you will need to work on your grammar, vocabulary and oral proficiency.

Grammar

I have some grammar exercises links in this website. Study each topic before it is covered in class, and do the activities.

Vocabulary

Oral Proficiency

One useful tool for learning vocabulary is the simple flashcard — 3 X 5 cards with Spanish on one side and English on the other. Use them during your free time– standing in line, riding the bus, waiting for class to start, etc. You can turn “wasted” time into productive study time. The key is that you always have a few flashcards with you.

This is the fun part!

There is only one way to improve your oral proficiency: you must practice speaking out loud and at normal conversational volume!

Something that every student needs is confidence that he/she has reasonably good pronunciation.

Suerte!
