3 Steps for your First Conversation in Spanish

Step 1: Begin the conversation with a simple Spanish greeting or question. You first conversation in Spanish may begin with a simple greeting like “¡Hola!” (Hello) or “¡Buenos días!”(Good morning!).

Step 2: Introducing yourself in Spanish properly and being polite. In many situations, you might need to introduce yourself in Spanish. In order to do so, you can use the expressions  “Me llamo” + your name. Then ask the other person its name with ¿Cómo se llama usted?”(formal). It is common to say “¡Mucho gusto!” or “¡Es un placer!” after hearing someone’s name. 

Step 3: Finish your first conversation in Spanish with a nice farewell. There are many ways to say goodbye in the language. You might use a very simple “¡Adiós!”
